LEGAL NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT

TOWN OF MENDON

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Michelle Booth, Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Mendon, has received the 2026 Collector’s Tax Warrant for the Honeoye Falls – Lima and the Pittsford

Central School Districts. Taxes will be received at the Mendon Town Hall, 16 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472-1199, from 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and

8:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Fridays, except holidays.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that taxes may be paid on or before October 1 without interest. On payments received after such date, there shall be added interest of 2% if paid on or before

October 31st and an additional 2% if paid to the Monroe County Treasurer on or before November. No payments will be accepted after November 18th.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that first installments are due by September 15th to be eligible and service charges must be added. The 2nd and 3rd installments are paid to Monroe County.

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax rolls will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Monroe on the 1st day of November 2024.

TOWN OF MENDON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 260 of
the Town Code of the Town of Mendon, a public hearing will be held by the Town of
Mendon Zoning Board of Appeals at the Mendon Town Hall, 16 West Main Street,
Honeoye Falls, NY, in said town, on Thursday, September 10 th , 2026, at 7:00 pm for the
purpose of hearing all persons interested in the following application:

An area variance application by Nathan Vandewater, of 358 Parrish Road,
Honeoye Falls, NY, requesting relief from Chapter 260-8 (C)(3) to construct a 16’ x
16’addtion to an existing barn, and whereas code does not permit accessory structure lot
coverage in excess of the maximum 2% allowed. Zoned RA-1. Tax account no. 230.02-1-
5.41. The Zoning Board of Appeals will at said time and place hear all persons in
support of the application or in objection thereto. Persons may appear in person or by an
agent.

Town Code of the Town of Mendon, a public hearing will be held by the Town of Mendon
Planning Board at the Mendon Town Hall, 16 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls, NY, in said
town, on Wednesday, September 16 th , 2026, at 7:00 pm for the purpose of hearing all persons
interested in the following application:

Michael Turner, 4 Churchside Run, Mendon NY 14506, for a Special Use Permit to
operate FLX Popcorn Co., a popcorn/ice-cream/bakery shop located at 3862 Rush Mendon
Road, Mendon, NY. Tax account no. 216.02-1-22. Zoned Business. The Planning Board will at
said time and place hear all persons in support of the application or in objection thereto. Persons
may appear in person or by an agent.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mendon Town Board has established the following as meeting dates for its boards, commissions, and committees.  All meetings are held at 7:00 PM at 16 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls, NY.  Town Board: January 5 (Organizational Meeting), January 20, February 9, March 9, April 13,  May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, September 28, October 5, October 26, November 9, December 14 and December 28. The Environmental Conservation Board: the second Tuesday of each month; Climate Smart Communities Task Force: the first Tuesday of each month; the Historic Preservation Commission: the second Wednesday of each month; the Planning Board: the first and third Wednesday of each month; and the Zoning Board of Appeals: the second and fourth Thursday of each month as needed; the Board of Assessment Review – fourth Tuesday in May.
