LEGAL NOTICE
REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ)
TOWN OF MENDON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Mendon is seeking sealed proposals from qualified contractors for site work at:

13 Victor Mendon Road, Mendon, NY 14506

The bid estimate shall be based on the information provided in the site plan and include the following:
● Remove and dispose of existing retaining wall; replace with compacted topsoil sloped to 1:3 or less
● Establishment of a uniform slope from the edge of driveway in an Easterly direction, in order to route drainage water to a newly constructed swale along the Eastern lot line of the property.
● Finish grades to be set and verified by the Town Engineer or designee, and ready for placement of topsoil.
● Seeding of disturbed areas with common proprietary blend grass seed (owner to water & maintain)
● Contractor is responsible for all clean up and removal of debris
● Scheduling of work will be during the 2026 construction season, with a mutually agreed upon date and time between Contractor and the Town of Mendon

Notes:
● Contractor to check grades and adjust topsoil to maintain positive slope to property line
● Existing vegetation must be protected
● Contractor to protect driveway with rubber traction mats from equipment if necessary
● Existing drainage swale and mulched garden area are to remain.
● No equipment permitted to drive across septic field
● The Town will provide the dump truck for the taken down wall block materials and haul it away.
● The town will take care of the right of way permissions.

All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications and site plans provided by the Town. Work is anticipated to occur during the 2026 construction season, with completion
required by September 4, 2026.

Sealed proposals are due no later than 12:00 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, and must be submitted to:

The Town of Mendon reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town. This project is subject to prevailing wage requirements pursuant to New York State Labor Law §220.

PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF MENDON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 260 of the
Town Code of the Town of Mendon, a public hearing will be held by the Town of Mendon
Planning Board at the Mendon Town Hall, 16 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls, NY, in said
town, on Wednesday, May 20 th 2026, at 7:00 pm for the purpose of hearing all persons interested
in the following application:

Patrick Roach, 17 Cambridge Court, Fairport NY, for an amendment to an existing
Special Use Permit, Pat’s Pigs Barbeque & Catering, on property located at 5 Assembly Drive,
Mendon, NY. Tax account no. 216.02-1-1.3. Zoned Business. The Planning Board will at said
time and place hear all persons in support of the application or in objection thereto. Persons may
appear in person or by an agent.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the application may be inspected at the Town
Office during normal business hours – please call 624-7863 for an appointment. All interested
parties are invited to attend in person or by Attorney and be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mendon Town Board has established the following as meeting dates for its boards, commissions, and committees.  All meetings are held at 7:00 PM at 16 West Main Street, Honeoye Falls, NY.  Town Board: January 5 (Organizational Meeting), January 20, February 9, March 9, April 13,  May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, September 28, October 5, October 26, November 9, December 14 and December 28. The Environmental Conservation Board: the second Tuesday of each month; Climate Smart Communities Task Force: the first Tuesday of each month; the Historic Preservation Commission: the second Wednesday of each month; the Planning Board: the first and third Wednesday of each month; and the Zoning Board of Appeals: the second and fourth Thursday of each month as needed; the Board of Assessment Review – fourth Tuesday in May.
